Corruption compounded.

Now the CAG has indicted the Gujarat government for misappropriating Rs. 1,000 crores, or more. What on earth is going on? Is there a single untainted state in our country? Have we become the epicentre of all shady deals? For all that we have going for us why, for pete's sake, do we have to fall into a cesspool. Poor Mr. Hazare has lost steam. Thanks to his team. Their puerile on-stage prancing and intolerable utterances have shown that they have lost the authority to claim superiority over the hoi polloi. Who then can we turn to? The answer is OURSELVES.

Army’s ‘Chief’ Agonies

Dear Ms Jha. Your blog on the 'Army's Chief Agonies' is very well written and thought provoking. It raises many questions but, try as I did, I found no answers. That, of course, is the nature of the beast. In all my years as a citizen of this country I have never seen such an unseemly brouhaha between the MOD and the Chief of the Army. From the delayed disclosure of the alleged attempt to bribe him to the 'leak' of his report to the PM of the deficiencies of the armed forces and their lack of effective equipment, it seems to me it is the final tantrum of a child denied his goodies before being put to sleep. I may be wrong, but then again, I may not. Regards. Xerxes Aga.
